Apple could sell 20 million iPad tablets in Q4 2012

  According to the estimates regarding the number of iPhones sold in Q4 2012Those from Fortune is now trying to estimate the number of iPad tablets that the Apple company could sell in this last fiscal quarter. According to their calculations, the Apple company could sell a maximum of 19.23 million iPad tablets worldwide. As usual, Fortune asked professional and independent analysts, the independents estimating on average that Apple will sell 19.23 million iPad tablets, and the average estimate of professional analysts is around 17.56 million units.

The Street's consensus put iPad sales at just under 17.6 million, while the consensus among the indies was for sales of 19.23 million, more than 9% higher. Not that there was universal agreement within the two groups. The low estimate of 14.8 million was submitted by both Gabelli & Co.'s Hendi Susanto and by Navin Arthanareeswaran of the independent Braeburn Group. Two indies submitted the same high estimate of 23 million: Braeburn's Michael Cranston and the unaffiliated Navin Nagrani. The average estimate among all 61 analysts was 18.38 million.

  61 analysts were surveyed by Fortune, and the average estimate for all of them is 18.63 million units sold in Q4 2012. Three Romanians gave their opinion about the number of iPad tablets sold by Apple, their estimates are between 18.5 and 19 million units, and on October 25 we will find out how much Apple really sold.
