The iPad Mini tablets now delivered by Apple included a 5W charger, identical to the one offered by Apple for iPhone terminals. Using such a charger for the approximately 4500 mAh battery of the iPad Mini results in a charging time of 3-3.5 hours. For a person who is always in a hurry, this charging period is long, however there is a method faster to charge your iPad Mini tablet, but to do this you will need to use the 10W charger supplied with the iPad 1/2/3.
Using that charger reduces the charging time to approximately 2.5 hours, but there is a risk of damaging the battery over time. If Apple included a charger of only 5W in the iPad Mini, then it had a good reason to do so, but if you are not interested in protecting the battery, then you can significantly reduce the charging time.
