AMD hires a former chip specialist for Apple's mobile terminals

AMD, the famous manufacturer of processors and video cards for PCs and laptops, hired recently a former Apple specialist in the development of chips for mobile terminals. Wayne Meretsky was hired by Apple to contribute to the development of the A-series chips, and he chose AMD along with a former Qualcomm employee. AMD intends to produce chips for mobile terminals, but for now it has not revealed what the two new employees will work on.

Wayne Meretsky was appointed as vice president of the software development division, so AMD has serious plans for the future and these two employees seem to be extremely important. For Apple, Meretsky worked on the development of the A4-A7 chips, so it is possible to see something similar at AMD.
