The Samsung Galaxy S IV would have a screen with more pixels per inch than the Retina Display in the iPhone 5

Implementing a Retina Display in iPhones, Apple has set a new standard for mobile terminals, a standard that Samsung has not yet reached with its Galaxy series of terminals. This would change, however, because in Samsung Galaxy S IV Korean company inted to implement a new type of display on which resolutions up to 441 pixels per inch can be displayed, with 115 more pixels per inch than in the case of iPhone terminals.

Although this aspect was too little important, considering that the Galaxy have very good screens, it seems that Samsung wants to have better terminals from all points of view. I don't know how much the number of pixels on the screens will matter to users since they can't distinguish them from 330 and up, but from a marketing point of view we are talking about something extremely important.
