A member of Apple's board of directors claims that smartwatches and smart glasses will become as "intimate" as mobile phones

Bill Campbell is one of the oldest directors of the board of directors of Apple, chairman of the board of directors of Intuit, and in a recent conference held by Intuit he declared that the future technological revolution will come from "intimate" gadgets. He stated that smartwatches and smart glasses will become as "intimate" as mobile phones in the future, implying that Google Glass will not be the only revolutionary product on the market. Considering that he is part of Apple's board of directors, there is a possibility that he has seen Apple's plans regarding the development of the iWatch, even if the members of this group do not always have the opportunity to see Apple's products only shortly before the launch.

Campbell did tell the audience to expect to see "a lot of things going on with the application of technology to really intimate things." He pointed to Google Glass as one such intimate object. "It's a phenomenal breakthrough," he said. "When you start to think about glasses or watches, they become as intimate as the cell phone was."

The connection between Campbell and iWatch is made very easily based on the position he occupies within Apple and everyone is waiting for an extremely well thought out smart watch. Of course, we are several months away from the launch of this device, but the expectations are high and Apple will probably fulfill most of them as soon as it brings the product to the market. Until then, we can only speculate that the iWatch will have a curved screen and that it will connect to all our iDevices to receive notifications and control certain functions.
