iPhone 5S vs the competition in the pixel battle

During the presentation event a iPhone 5S, the Apple company stated that iPhone 5S is able to capture images with pixels that have a size of 1.5 microns, Phil Schiller claiming that this size is larger than that of the pixels captured by most cameras in smartphones on the market. Phil Schiller is partially right, and if you forget to the table above, you'll notice that the smartphones released this year offer about the same size for the pixels captured using the cameras, except Nokia Lumia 1020 si Samsung Galaxy S4.

Apple says that these larger pixels allow recording better photos in low light conditions, the camera being able to capture more light, but the differences compared to iPhone 5 they will not be extraordinary. The HTC One is capable of capturing pixels that are 2 microns in size and its camera is not that great, in some tests it records pictures that have a poorer quality even than that of the iPhone 5. Basically, Apple is trying to present to the world complete an important change for the camera, but it could turn out to be just a nice marketing story.
