Apple changes again the algorithms based on which the search results for applications from the App Store are displayed

A few weeks ago I told you that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), modified the algorithms based on which search results are displayed for applications from App Store, and last night the American company implemented a set of similar modifications. Based on this update, the position of many applications available in App Store it fluctuated 8 times more often than normal, with some titles registering position changes of over 150 places in just two days. Moreover, more than 60% of the applications increased/decreased by no less than 5 places following the implementation of the new search algorithms, a sign that Apple favors the discovery of certain applications, while for others it creates a not so scary situation .

Apple is now trying to offer much better results for searches made for applications dedicated to certain services, so that in certain situations some applications have climbed no less than 150 positions in a single day based on the new algorithm. Although Apple is testing new methods to make it easier to discover relevant App Store applications, those who populate the store with useless titles will find new ways to cheat the system, as they have done in the past, and this attempt to bring some order in the "jungle" called the App Store, it will not be successful for a long time.
