Cost Control - how much trust can you have in the systems that warn you when you exceed the internet traffic available in the subscription?

Each mobile operator from Romania it has a system that notifies you when you are close to consuming everything internet traffic allocated in a subscription or in an option available for prepaid cards. Every mobile operator claims that this type of system is reliable and with its help you will always know when you need to be careful how much internet traffic do more to avoid the generation of additional cost.

If you are wondering how much trust you should have in systems of this kind, well I will tell you that you should not trust them because they are far from safe. I have been told multiple times by employees of mobile operators that these systems are not capable of providing timely warnings to prevent the generation of additional costs for Internet traffic, as they are not designed to monitor traffic in real time.

In real-life experience, I have noticed that these systems send warning messages a few hours after the Internet traffic is consumed, and this is because this type of system is updated, in general, once every 3-6 hours. Under these conditions, you should never trust them, especially if you use the Internet while roaming, in which case the additional cost can be considerably higher in the case of exhausting the traffic allocated to an Internet option.

What experiences have you had with systems of this kind?
