Apple Maps dominates Google Maps in the UK

Apple Maps was launched in 2012 as a replacement service for Google Mapsof those from Google, company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), then taking the decision to completely give up cooperation with Google to provide a navigation system in iOS. Despite all the problems the service has gone through over the years, the UK's largest mobile operator says that its users prefer Apple Maps in damage Google Maps for navigation.

According to some data published during this day, 70% of network users use Apple Maps to search for information about locations through an Internet connection, the figure being 10% higher than that recorded in the same period of 2013. In the same period of time Google Maps represented 25% of the traffic generated by users, the remaining 5% being allocated to other similar applications available in the App Store.

Although we are talking about only one market, it proves how much it matters that Apple Maps is a native service of iOS and Google Maps is not.
