A US museum "exploits" turtles for a special exhibition

A museum in Colorado, USA, thought it would be interesting if would expose in one of its locations the creation of a local artist who uses three turtles and tablets iPad to present abandoned cities in the USA. Placing two tablets each iPad on each shell of the three turtles used in his exhibition, the artist plays video content recorded by the turtles during some "journeys" that took them through abandoned cities in the USA.

The turtles walk freely in the pens specially made by the museum for them, and a good part of the visitors were dissatisfied with the way the animals are treated. In this idea, an online petition was initiated to stop the "exploitation" of the turtles, claiming that the weight of the iPad tablets placed on each turtle's shell endangers their lives.

Although the museum is working with a veterinarian to ensure that the turtles are not injured, the activists who signed the petition are trying to force them to abandon the exhibition idea, but they probably won't have much success.
