2014 was a new year of growth for sales of smartphone-s, and the global trend was also felt in Romania, the sales of smart terminals increasing by over 70% in our country in just 12 months. Specifically, according to the company's marketing director Huawei, 3 million smartphones would have been sold in Romania, with 1.3 million units more than in the same time period of the previous year, the increase being a significant one.
The sales of smart phones (smartphones) in Romania will reach approximately three million units this year, from 1,7 million units in 2013, of which 200.000 will be Huawei, said the marketing director of Huawei Romania, Sorina Macărescu, in - a press conference.
Practically over 10% of the Romanian population bought a smartphone in 2014, if we are to believe this information and that in the conditions where Romania is not one of the rich countries of Europe. Now, of course, most of the terminals were either bought at very low prices, or were offered for free by the mobile phone operators for subscriptions, most of the units being smartphones from the weakest class and by no means top of the range.
It is difficult to say how things will evolve during the next year, but if the mobile phone operators will continue to offer smart phones for free or at very low prices, then there are very high chances that "sales" will double.
