During this night the application WhatsApp Messenger for iPhone has been updated, the new version bringing users two official changes, but also at least one unofficial one. The change that was not mentioned by the developers of the application is visible in the image above and I am talking about the phone icon that appears on the right side of the image. That icon was not present there until today and by accessing it we will have the possibility to initiate a phone call with the contact with whom we were having the conversation in that menu.
If you remember these images, then you know that the VoIP call function will be accessible through the exact same icon placed in the exact same point of the application interface WhatsApp Messenger. Although practically we can't do it VoIP calls through the application WhatsApp Messenger right from this moment, those from WhatsApp they took the first step towards its implementation for us. At the moment the only functionality of the button is to initiate a phone call through a mobile phone network and it is not known when exactly we will have the VoIP function available.
The representatives of WhatsApp announced that they intend to offer this functionality to users during this year and whether it will be available sooner or later we will find out in the next period. Having said that, I'm curious how interested you are in this position.
