iOS and security code change alert

Security code changeIn the attached image you can see a the alert displayed by iOS for changing the security code of iPhones, iPads or iPod Touches, the message being quite unusual for the operating system.

Unusual is the fact that the message tells its user change the security code in 60 minutes from the display of the respective alert, options to close the alert and make the change at a later date being displayed in the iOS interface.

At first glance the alert message for changing the security code appears to be displayed by a malware, this is because iOS does not display messages of this kind by itself, but not only a malware can display a message of this kind in the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touches of those from Apple in a random way.

Although a malware installed in iOS after jailbreak or through an unauthorized profile can display a message of this kind in terminals, considering that it does not redirect you to any website, but in the Settings application, there are no reasons to be scared.

Apart from malware, the message can also be displayed by using an email through Microsoft's Exchange system, or if you have installed a profile of a company you collaborate with or work for, alerts of this kind being in the vast majority of cases displayed due to some installed profiles.

The alerts are displayed in the versions of iOS released in the last 3 years by the Apple company and to make sure that you do not have unknown profiles installed in your terminals, go to Settings > General > Profiles, Settings > General > Profile and delete from there anything you don't recognize.

Normally you don't have to worry too much when you see messages like this displayed, but it's good to check if you haven't been infected by any malware, so if you have an unknown profile installed and delete it, because you can lose other data.

Originally, the Apple company does not offer any other suggestions apart from deleting any unknown profiles, so currently there are no other solutions to prevent the random appearance of this alert message.
