Apple headquarters evacuated following a bomb threat

bomb Apple employeesThe Apple offices in Cork, Ireland, were evacuated this morning after Apple allegedly received a series of emails threatening to detonate one or more bombs in two of its office buildings has in town.

More than 4000 Apple employees from Lavitts Quay, Hollyhill and Model Farm Road were evacuated this morning with the help of the police, they waited in front of the buildings while the authorities checked the locations to confirm or deny the existence of bombs inside.

The employees had to wait over 2 hours in the cold while the police checked the buildings, the Apple company confirming for the local press that the evacuation was indeed based on a series of threats received through some emails.

This is the first time that the Apple company is subject to such threats in Europe, the American company being generally loved on the continent, but now it has come to the attention of characters who do not wish it well.
