Windows Phone is a failure, sales disappoint

Windows Phone is a failure, despite the fact that Nokia and later Microsoft tried to turn the operating system into a viable alternative to iOS and Android, their attempts to convince the world that there is also something else, not being supported by custom mobile terminals.

In Q4 2015 the company Microsoft sold only 4.5 million Windows Phone smartphones worldwide, with 6 million units less than a year ago, a sign that interest in these devices has dropped to almost zero.

In the entire 5-year existence of Windows Phone, 110 million mobile terminals were sold that runs this operating system, while 4.5 billion iOS and Android smartphones were sold all over the planet, the difference being downright amazing.

No matter how much Microsoft tries to convince the world that Windows Phone and terminals running mobile versions of Windows are good and true alternatives to iOS or Android, the reality is that the world does not care about these products that have very poor support from developers.

Windows Phone sales

Microsoft announced some time ago that it no longer intends to produce a large number of Lumia smartphones with Windows Phone, and considering the disappointing sales in Q4 2015, it is clear that the platform takes his last breath before being forgotten.

Unfortunately, the failure of those from Microsoft does not bode well for the whole world, and this is because the planet needs many strong manufacturers of mobile terminals, but without big investments and the support of developers it is almost impossible to be successful.
