Why are people who use their smartphone during breaks more tired and emotionally exhausted!?

A study carried out in South Korea, on a sample of 425 people, shows that those people who use their smartphones even during meal breaks are more tired than those who take a short walk or read pages from a newspaper or a book .

The reason, obviously, seems to be the fact that while using the smartphone, the brain is extremely stimulated, and for the eyes, the effort is even greater.

Half of those studied used their smartphone, and the other half chatted with a friend or took a short walk. They all said that they managed to disconnect from work during that break, but those who used the smartphone did not feel fresher, more rested when they returned to the office, but described the states as "emotionally exhausted" or " tired ".

Organizational interventions such as 'digital detox' and awareness in employees about the negative effects of smart phone breaks are necessary for employees to find effective relaxation.

Do you use your smartphone to play, or for other activities, even during meal breaks?
