The Waze application has a new function useful for drivers

Waze, the company behind the famous application of the same name, announced last night the launch of a new function for the application dedicated to iDevices, which will notify us through sound and visual alerts when we exceed the speed limit in the location where we are.

The Waze application it will automatically display for users information on the speed limits in the locations where they are located and will issue sound and visual alerts when the limits are exceeded, with the option of setting additional alerts to be issued when the limit is exceeded by a certain percentage.

Information on speed limits from various locations around the world is entered manually by users and checked by Waze employees, so you don't have to be surprised if the limit is entered incorrectly in certain areas.

The new function will initially be available in: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Czech Republic, El Salvador, France, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad, Tobago and Uruguay.

Whether you're driving on new and unfamiliar roads or a place where speed limits change with the season, you'll no longer be in the dark. Waze will keep you aware of your speed, reminding you to slow down and drive safely... To see speed limits you don't need to change a thing. If you're driving over the limit, a visual alert will appear on the Waze speedometer. It will stay there until your speed drops below the limit.
