Popularity iPhone among young people, according to a new study, 69% of the young participants in this study owning an iPhone continues to grow, the percentage being on the rise compared to 67% as recorded during the fall of 2015.

Regarding the purchase intention, 75% of young people claim that their future smartphone will be an iPhone, the figure being a percentage increase compared to the fall of last year, the increase being small, but even so it must be recorded in favor of those of at Apple.

Regarding smartwatches, young people are not really that interested in such products, only 12% of them confirming that they own a smart watch, Apple Watch being the most popular of all, 71% of smartwatches being Apple products.

If we talk about the purchase intention for smart watches, well, only 10% of young people are willing to buy such a product, this percentage is increasing by 2% compared to the autumn of last year, so smartwatches do not have a bright future in face.

We would expect the Apple Watch to maintain a market share close to that of the iPhone, but don't expect major changes in interest until stronger use cases emerge. We continue to view CY17 as the potential breakout year for Apple Watch.

If for smartwatches young people prefer Apple Watch, when it comes to the entire category of wearables, Fitbit is the favorite brand of young people, 72% of them choosing this company, Nike occupying the second place with 12% of interest, Apple Watch having half the percentage of Nike.
