Instagram: image blurring and authentication in 2 steps

Instagram today announced the launch of two extremely interesting new functions for iPhone users around the world, they are very useful. The first of them involves the application of a blur effect on some of the images uploaded to the Instagram network, the second allows the activation of a 2-step authentication system for iPhone users.

Starting today, some pictures that Instagram deems inappropriate for everyone will be displayed with a blur effect on them. The application will display those images with a blur so that users cannot see their details, but with a simple click on that image, users will see the entire content of the image without anything being hidden.

Separately, starting today, Instagram allows securing accounts using a 2-step authentication system on iPhone terminals. We are talking about a security code that is sent by email with each authentication done in the Instagram application on a new iPhone, that phone number being set in advance by network users.

These two changes are made by the Instagram company as part of a project designed to make the network safer for everyone. The changes announced today by Instagram will be available from the following days for all users, so anyone will be able to benefit from them very soon.

"The first step is to celebrate the kindness our community is already known for. On March 25 and 26, tens of thousands of Instagrammers all over the world will come together for Worldwide InstaMeet 15 to share their stories and spread kindness in the world. You can find an InstaMeet near you or spread kindness by leaving an encouraging comment, giving an inspiring person a like or sharing a message of support with a friend. Our teams are focused on making Instagram a kind, welcoming place for everyone, and we're just getting started."
