WPA3 is a new security standard for Wi-Fi networks announced today by the organization that establishes the standards based on which Wi-Fi technology is implemented in mobile terminals and various gadgets. WPA3 is considered to be a much more secure new standard for Wi-Fi networks, simplifying router configuration methods while offering improved security for users.

Apple, Intel, Microsoft, Samsung, Google and many other companies are part of the organization that develops the standards for Wi-Fi networks, so WPA3 was designed based on the intense collaboration of all these companies. The best part of WPA3 is that it will provide custom encryption for data, which will seriously improve the security of users when using public Wi-Fi networks, the most dangerous of all.

Although there is no data on the changes brought by WPA3, security researchers speculate that it will allow opportunistic encryption of data transfer, that is, without any authentication in any way. WPA3 will use a new method of Wi-Fi interconnection between various types of gadgets, so it is possible that many products will need important updates to be able to use the technology.

WPA3 will also offer 192-bit encryption based on a technology that is used to encrypt information transmitted between them by US government agencies, or even by military units. WPA 3 is expected to be a major upgrade for the security of Wi-Fi networks around the world, with the standard expected to be officially launched sometime in 2018, but implementations will take time.
