Apple Watch t3 2018

Apple Watch. The most popular smartwatch in the world had a very good Q3 2018, with a substantial increase in global sales, as you can see below. Apple Watch registered a 54% increase in sales compared to Q3 2017, from 2.7 million units to 4.2 million units, the evolution being amazing for the Americans' smart watch.

Apple Watch. Although the smart watch from Cupertino had a surprising increase in sales, those from Xiaomi had an even bigger increase. Xiaomi almost doubled its sales of wearables in T3 2018 compared to T3 2017, but unlike Apple it also sells fitness bracelets, so it has a much larger range of products.

Apple Watch. And those from Samsung had an increase even slightly higher than that of Xiaomi, still remaining far from the Apple company, just like the Chinese from Huawei. Although the Apple Watch did not help Apple rise to the first position in the list of wearables sellers, according to IDC, it contributed to the increase in sales of this type of product, but less than Xiaomi or Samsung.

Apple managed to launch its Series 4 Watch, its first watch approved for medical use, towards the end of the quarter. The new design and sizes along with the latest version of Watch OS were welcome changes although the latest series only accounted for less than 20% of all Apple Watch shipments. The reduced price on the still affordable Series 3 accounted for the majority of Apple's shipments during the quarter.

Apple Watch. Most of the sales were generated by the Series 3 of those from Cupertino, while the Series 4 would have generated only 20% of the total sales recorded during this period. This means that the Apple Watch could register even higher sales in the last fiscal quarter of 2018 thanks to the Series 4, if Apple has enough stocks.
