eMAG. AMAZING announcement for Romania, what it has achieved

eMAG. The online store from Romania made an amazing announcement today that reveals how big the successful achievement is in our country during 2018.

eMAG Romania

eMAG. It is known to many as an online store, but the brand hides behind it a real multinational, mostly owned by an investment group from South Africa, thanks to the investments made by it, after it bought the shares of eMAG with over 100 million euros a few years ago, now the group of companies united under this brand recorded revenues of 1 billion euros during 2018.

eMAG. Just like in the case of RCS & RDS, we are talking about multiple companies that are united under one brand, some of them from Romania, others from outside the country, but all of them contributed to these huge revenues. eMAG, just the online store and everything related to its activity, generated in Romania receipts of 3.77 billion LEI in 2018, i.e. around 790 million euros, 23% higher than in 2017.

eMAG. AMAZING announcement for Romania, what it has achieved

eMAG. The Dante International company, which includes both the online store in Romania, as well as those in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and the Fashion Days online store, generated in 2018 revenues of 4.24 billion LEI, i.e. 890 million euros. Here, the increase is 28% in receipts compared to 2017, and it is interesting that only the eMAG online store generated over 90% of this amount, the rest representing only another 100 million euros.

eMAG. The entire group of companies united under this brand generated revenues of 4.77 billion LEI, that is exactly 1 billion euros at today's exchange rate, but there are many more companies here. Apart from Dante International, which I talked about above, the eMAG group also includes Depanero, Conversion Marketing (Profitshare), Sameday Courier, and PC Garage, all of which bring another 110 million euros to the total revenues generated by the group in 4 countries.

eMAG. At the moment, the group of companies is one of the largest in Romania, helping to have revenues almost as much as Orange, or RCS & RDS, but all thanks to foreign investments.
