More precisely, ANCOM warned RCS & RDS customers, and not only, about the roaming platform that protects them from additional costs higher than the value of 50 euros when using the services outside Romania.

Although in the EEA it is quite difficult to reach this amount, since you can use the benefits from the subscriptions in the country, in other countries outside this area you can easily exceed this ceiling. The biggest problem for RCS & RDS customers, and of other operators, is that in some countries they cannot monitor the additional cost of customers in real time, so it could exceed the value of 50 euros before being detected.

The authorities in Romania warn customers about the fact that this is a problem related to the cooperation between operators, and that in these situations you cannot make a complaint for the additional cost. This means that if you go to a country where RCS & RDS, or other companies, cannot do real-time monitoring for additional traffic, whatever amount you register there, you will have to pay it without being able to oppose it somehow.
"The rules regarding the establishment of ceilings for the use of the roaming Internet service apply both in the European Union (EU) and outside the EU, provided that, outside the EU, the network operator of the visited country allows the roaming provider to monitor in real time the use of services by its client. If applying the cap is not technically possible, users must be warned in advance."
RCS & RDS. Unfortunately, there are many countries where this can happen, and of course they are all outside the EEA, because in the EEA you will not encounter problems of this kind, but you have to be careful in Switzerland, for example. There are many stories from people who had problems of this kind with large bills from RCS & RDS, and other telecommunications companies, and in most cases nothing could be done to solve them.
