Yesterday, Telekom officially announced the sale of the fixed services division to Orange in a transaction valued at 500 million euros, and on this occasion appointed a new CEO for the fixed services division, which was left with almost 4 million customers .
"The Telekom Romania group of companies announces the appointment of Vladan Pekovic to the position of CEO, starting on 9.11.2020. Vladan Pekovic, Executive Director of Technology and Information, Telekom Romania, will take over the management of operations in Romania, replacing Miroslav Majoroš who is completing his mandate successfully.
Vladan Pekovic (49 years old) is a professional with an international career accumulated in the markets of Europe, Africa, Latin America and the United States of America, having over 22 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, where he focused on the integration of networks and systems IT, as well as on the implementation, development and operation of the most complex and advanced mobile and fixed networks. At the same time, throughout his career he has also demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to the role, effectively guiding and leading complex, multicultural teams.
Customer, results and business performance oriented, Vladan Pekovic also has significant experience in Telekom, with a varied portfolio of projects he has managed. Before joining the Telekom Romania team in 2017, Vladan Pekovic was the Executive Director of Technology and Information at Crnogorski Telekom.
From the position of Executive Director of Technology and Information, Telekom Romania, he contributed significantly to the digitization and improvement of processes, technological expansion and simplification of offers, and the innovative approach he adopted led to the improvement of the quality of services offered to customers. Thus, through the large-scale projects he developed and managed, he demonstrated a good understanding of the Romanian market, a clear vision of the technological and financial requirements that any company needs to successfully serve its customers and, more chosen, a good ability to coordinate and motivate teams.
