Nelu Tataru How many patients from ATI are in a very serious condition

Nelu Tataru revealed for the whole of Romania how many of the patients admitted to ATI are in a very serious condition at the moment, and require invasive oxygenation to be treated, and this in the conditions where we are approaching 1200 people who are being treated in these wards specialized from hospitals.

Nelu Tataru says that out of 1149 patients admitted to intensive care at the national level, 309 are mechanically assisted to breathe, 350 are on SiPAP ventilation, while the rest are treated with oxygen in various forms, but they are in a better situation, and are in these units because there is a risk that their situation may worsen at any time.

"As you know, out of the total of 1.149 patients who are in Intensive Care, 309 are on invasive artificial respiration. 350 are on SiPAP and the rest are on various sources of oxygen therapy. Those who are on oxygen therapy can be in an intermediate section, but next to the Intensive Care section.

As we know from the current activity, any patient with respiratory insufficiency of a certain degree can decompensate and then be nearby to be picked up. The recommendation was that these Intermediate Therapy sections should still have ventilators installed so that at some point, if they decompensate, we can switch that patient to invasive."
