The Romanian government says that the AstraZeneca vaccine completely prevents serious illnesses caused by the Coronavirus, or at least that's what several studies done in Great Britain, Brazil, South Africa say, the people who contacted the virus not needing hospitalization.
"100% of people who received the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine were protected from serious illness, hospitalization and death from COVID-19, according to the latest analysis of clinical trials in the UK, Brazil and South Africa.
In clinical trials evaluating AstraZeneca's vaccine, not a single person vaccinated developed a severe form of COVID-19 or required hospitalization.
"The AstraZeneca vaccine reduces the number of serious illnesses with COVID-19," said Dr. Alejandro Cravioto, Chair of the World Health Organization's SAGE Group.
