Raed Arafat made a very important announcement regarding the return to normality in Romania, something that everyone wants to see, and something that has a chance of happening, but only if enough people get vaccinated against the Coronavirus.
Raed Arafat says that when a percentage of at least 30% of the population is reached to be vaccinated, we could talk about a possible return to normality in Romania, so people need to be vaccinated en masse.
"It is a very good thing that a large part of Romanians wants to get vaccinated. Leaving aside the discussion on the lot in AstraZeneca, vaccination is the solution to increase immunity. We have not yet reached a number of people vaccinated to say that it has an impact on the spread of the virus.
There starts to be an impact from a certain percentage, when you have maybe 30% and you go up to 40-50% the spread starts to decrease. If the population continues, and our campaign has gone very well so far, we may be able to contain the spread by autumn."
