More precisely, those from WhatsApp decided to change in the Android version the location where any kind of images, video clips, etc. are saved, so that many people no longer saw these files after they had been previously saved by the application.
WhatsApp made this change without telling anyone what it was doing, but unfortunately it messed up a lot of phones because people didn't know where to look for their multimedia content.
