Romania is facing an alarming explosion of infections in full wave 4 of the Coronavirus, the number of new cases reported daily this week being approximately double that of the days of the previous week, and this brings new restrictions for everyone.
Romania has now been announced by specialists even more alarming estimates regarding the number of new daily cases of Coronavirus, some expecting to exceed 10.000 daily infections in September and 20.000 in October, something completely plausible if the current growth rate will be maintained .
Romania is obliged to re-impose the restrictions that disappeared in the spring, but separately from them came those that are imposed everywhere in Europe, they are related to the new COVID certificate that will be used in areas with incidents of more than 3/1000 inhabitants to keep the economy open.
Romania has approximately one third of the citizens eligible for vaccination already vaccinated, but the figure is too small to keep under control the number of infections from wave 4, which is already the most aggressive so far, and the expectations are that the situation will become much worse .
Romania is struggling to convince people to get vaccinated, but it is hard to say how successful such measures could be, it is certain that the current restrictions could become even tougher as the incidence rates exceed 6/1000 inhabitants in many areas of the country.
