FFP2 Mask: The Official Announcement made by Minister Alexandru Rafila

FFP2 mask Official announcement made by Minister Alexandru Rafila

The FFP2 mask has been mandatory in many countries in Europe since the previous waves of the Coronavirus, but an official announcement from Minister Alexandru Rafila is intended to tell Romanians that it should be used with caution at the moment.

The FFP2 mask will not become mandatory in Romania, but Minister Alexandru Rafila recommends it, together with the surgical one, instead of textile masks, the latter having no role in protecting against infection anyway, something known for over a year already.

The FFP2 mask is designed to provide up to 95% protection against viruses and bacteria, being able to filter microorganisms of much smaller sizes than those filtered by a surgical mask, textile masks not having a similar role in protecting people.
