Romanian Police: Warning regarding Phishing Attacks

Romanian Police Warning Phishing attacks

The Romanian Police sends an extremely serious warning to all Romanians regarding phishing attacks, and this is because recently they have been distributed with an amazing "force" on social networks, as you can see below.

The Romanian Police presents below a message that is distributed via WhatsApp, or Facebook Messenger, to the masses, and which tries to trick people into accessing a malicious link in order to give up their personal data.

"Do not access messages that begin as follows:

"Looks like you!"

"You appear in this video"

"You're in the video"

They are phishing messages that do not contain a video or pictures, and accessing the link may lead to the loss of access to your social media account or bank details.

If, however, you have done this, to avoid further problems, we recommend that you:

1. Immediately change your Facebook account password and activate 2-step authentication (2FA);

2. Ensure that no permissions have been granted to third-party applications within the Application;

3. Check that no other apps have been installed and scan your device with an antivirus.”
