DIGI Mobil is, as you already know very well, one of the largest telecommunications operators in Romania, with over 4 million active customers in our country alone, this number is constantly growing.
DIGI Mobil has much greater coverage in Romania than many people imagine, it has the cheapest subscriptions for customers, but that's not all, because it also offers a lot of internet traffic, plus a benefit that many don't know about.
DIGI Mobil offers Romanian customers unlimited internet, but not at unlimited speed, so the first 80 GB consumed in a month benefit from the maximum speed in the network, but after that the speed is limited. What many customers of DIGI Mobil do not know is that that limitation does not reduce the speed to a value that makes the Internet totally unusable, i.e. 64 kbps or 128 kbps, but it is reduced to 256 kbps, a very low speed, but still allows uploading very simple emails, or even sending others.
DIGI Mobil limits the Internet speed so that the 80 GB traffic is not exceeded by customers without paying extra for it, and the limit seems high, but it can disappear extremely quickly. If you watch a lot of videos on YouTube every day, a lot of content on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and listen to some music via streaming, it is not excluded that you will reach the 80 GB monthly limit, or exceed it, but only if you also have good enough speeds.
DIGI Mobil imposed the limit by looking at the average consumption of customers in its network, and it is possible that the vast majority of people do not come close to 80 GB of Internet traffic consumed monthly.
For the rest, it is good to know that the limited speed is still sufficient for certain not very complicated things, while other operators make the limitation to half of this speed after exceeding much lower thresholds of internet traffic.
