Valeriu Gheorghita: The Official Announcement for Romania in Full Wave 5 of COVID-19

Valeriu Gheorghita Official Announcement Romania Full Wave 5 COVID-19

Valeriu Gheorghita sends an official announcement to millions of Romanians all over the country in the midst of wave 5 of infections generated by COVID-19, and this is because he talks below about the vaccination centers organized by the business environment for employees, and not only that.

Valeriu Gheorghita talks about the big problem of vaccinating people from disadvantaged areas, from rural areas where access to immunization is not that easy for everyone, and this helps a lot in the general campaign throughout the country.

"At this moment, based on the partnership concluded by the Romanian Government with private operators, practically with the business environment, mobile caravans are organized, especially in rural communities where the vaccination rate is low.

We send monthly the evaluation of the vaccination rate at the level of administrative-territorial units and it is the "People like mine" Caravan project that I am sure you know about; at the end of 2021 there were three counties that received the caravans: Olt, Argeș and Dolj, and at the beginning of 2022, there is a circuit in six other counties: Tulcea, Galați, Vrancea, Ialomița, Bacău and Suceava and there are over 1.000 people vaccinated up to this point in five counties where this mobile caravan arrived.

I want to thank those who got involved, because we are talking about the medical staff in particular from each community, especially, as I said, we are talking about disadvantaged rural communities, where the vaccination rate is very low, and I want one more given to thank the medical staff, but also those who operationalized and made this endeavor possible.

At the moment, the national vaccination capacity is sufficient, we are talking about more than 732 vaccination centers with 1.029 flows and, as I mentioned, 337 are pediatric offices, where vaccination activities for children take place.

I also want to mention the number of doses received by Romania: there are over 30.740.000 doses received until February 2. There were about 16,5 million doses administered, basically used, and we have 6,2 million doses left in stock right now of the four vaccines that are available."
