Valeriu Gheorghita speaks to millions of Romanians from all over the country about a final decision that has been taken, and that has an impact for Romania, and this is because the military doctor was replaced as president of CNCAV, and from now on he will occupy the position of commander of Emergency Clinical Hospital "Prof. Dr. Agrippa Ionescu".
Valeriu Gheorghita becomes, practically, the commander of the SRI hospital in Bucharest as part of this new function, his departure from the role of leader of the vaccination campaign in Romania also means the end of it, the immunization strategy to be completely changed these days.
"My thoughts also go to my colleagues in the medical system who have allocated substantial resources of time and a lot of dedication so that the vaccination in the centers open at the national level takes place in the best conditions, in a favorable and safe environment.
The results recorded all this time confirmed the lesson of solidarity, and the benefits of the partnerships carried out with domestic and international public and private institutions, with civil society, with non-governmental organizations, represented an extremely important element in increasing the accessibility and quality of vaccination services.
I would also like to thank all the volunteers who once again supported the medical system and the population, as well as those at home, the citizens, who have been our partners, supported us and understood our messages all this time. Every person who chose to get vaccinated, every life saved motivated us and represented for us a step forward, a step towards normality. Equally, I would like to thank my colleagues from the Central Military Emergency University Hospital "Dr Carol Davila" with whom I trained professionally.
From today, my professional path reaches another stage. A stage that honors me, but also makes me responsible. My appointment as commander of the Emergency Clinical Hospital "Prof. Dr. Agrippa Ionescu" opens another path of challenges, but together with the entire management team and the medical staff, we will continue the tradition of this renowned medical unit.
With the feeling of my duty fulfilled, I step with confidence on this new path and I assure you that I will always carry in my soul the oath taken under the flag, always in the service of my fellow men, always in the service of those in suffering!
