The European Commission wants to Plant 3 Billion Trees in Europe

The European Commission has announced an extremely bold objective for all of Europe and hundreds of millions of Europeans, one that it wants to achieve in full by 2030, i.e. to plant no less than 3 billion collard trees across the continent.

The European Commission set this extremely bold goal to ensure a much better future for Europeans thanks to the major benefits that forests can bring to the people who live near them.

"Goal for 2030: to plant 3️ billions of trees across Europe!

In 2021, we adopted the new EU Forest Strategy for 2030.

The strategy is accompanied by a roadmap for planting 3 billion additional trees across Europe by 2030, in full compliance with ecological principles.

Recently, the #MapMyTree web application was launched, allowing the monitoring of trees planted in the EU as part of the Strategy.

Also, anyone who plants one or more trees can report this directly in the app, contributing to the goal of 3 billion trees planted in the EU by 2030."
