The WHO has published an extremely worrying warning for billions of people all over the planet, and it is raising a very serious alarm signal regarding the fact that at the moment the circulation of various variants of the Coronavirus is intense throughout the world, but it is not sufficiently monitored well by the authorities.
The WHO says that much more action is needed to track the new variants of the Coronavirus that are emerging, especially the Omicron subvariants, which are more contagious than the original strain, even if not more pathogenic, with the organization calling for testing to be kept at a high level, but also of sequencing to discover the new substrains.
The WHO says that the big challenge at the moment regarding the Coronavirus pandemic is related to testing and sequencing, which have decreased dramatically recently, and due to the lack of data, its researchers cannot create a clear picture of how which currently circulate the variants of the Coronavirus, especially the BA.2.12.1, or BA.4 and BA.5.
The WHO says that the variants of the Coronavirus that have appeared so far are very far from being the last that humanity will face, something that we have heard on several occasions, and this is because the virus is constantly evolving, and this could also require the development of other vaccines that provide better protection.
