Orange, the largest telecommunications operator in Romania with over 10 million subscribers throughout the country, is at the center of extremely good official news that targets a very large part of the Romanians who use its services now. Those from ANCOM have published the annual study on the performance of the services offered by telecommunications operators in Romania, and Orange is placed in an extremely good position.
Orange has the best mobile internet in Romania, according to ANCOM, registering both in 2020 and 2021 the highest upload and download speeds for mobile internet, an impressive achievement from all points of view. In 2020, those from Orange offered their customers average download speeds of 37.6 Mbps, over 50% higher than those of the closest competitor, and double those from Telekom, with DIGI Mobil lagging far behind.

Orange also offers the best upload speeds for mobile internet, only that here the differences are much smaller between operators, with the exception of DIGI Mobil, which has speeds almost 3 times slower, something that of course does not really surprise anyone. In 2021, things became even better for the operator's customers, and this is because the download speed increased to 48.3 Mbps, and we are talking about an improvement of almost 30% compared to 2020.
In the case of upload speeds, the increase is smaller, but noticeable, and based on it, the difference compared to Telekom, Vodafone, DIGI Mobil deepens, but in all this comparison, the price paid for the services must also be taken into account. Those from Orange have higher prices for subscriptions compared to some competitors, but this is very clearly seen in the quality of the services they offer, and here everything comes down to what the company's customers want.
