Queen Elizabeth II Died Charles III King of Great Britain

Queen Elizabeth II has died, and Charles III is the new king of Great Britain, Buckingham Palace announcing this evening the passing away of the longest-serving British monarch in history, after a day in which extremely many rumors have appeared after the royal family reunited almost entirely at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

King Charles III succeeds Elizabeth II who reigned for 71 years, and he does so at a critical moment for Europe, and Great Britain, the war in Ukraine being one of the main concerns of the whole world, and his ascension to the throne takes place just a few days after his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, appointed Liz Truss as prime minister.

"The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty the Queen, is one of the greatest moments for me and all the members of my family.

We deeply mourn the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt across the country, realms and Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world.

During this time of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and supported by our knowledge of the deep respect and affection in which the Queen was so great."
