Minister of Health: LAST TIME, Solution to a Major Problem for Millions of Romanians

Minister of Health LAST MINUTE Solution to Major Problems Millions of Romanians

The Minister of Health spoke in a very important statement about one of the biggest problems faced by millions of Romanians across the country, specifically the fact that they do not have very good communication with doctors when they are treated in hospitals in Romania.

The Minister of Health speaks below about the fact that there is the possibility to include among the criteria for evaluating the activity of hospital managers, including one related to the communication that doctors make with patients, but we are talking about long-term changes that cannot be made in short periods of time.

"We are trying to find a solution here as well, and possibly include it in these criteria, because we also have a problem related to the patient's rights law, which limits the communication of information related to patients to very close relatives, and we are trying to find a solution and to this matter. This is strictly a hospital management issue.

A hospital can organize an information service, and introducing such an indicator of manager evaluation into the criteria is very important, and the most important thing is that everyone, regardless of the subordination of the hospital, uses the same grid, because you cannot you say that in a hospital of the ministry there are, and in one of the municipality there are not these criteria.

Communication with the patient inside the hospital is a problem, sometimes, and you know well that I have had public positions, and I mentioned that a patient must communicate with him, be empathetic, support him, feel your interest in the problem, his, but also the other one, of external communication, continues to be a problem.

There are indeed some hospitals that probably still apply the military orders issued during the pandemic, there were 2 that are no longer valid in any way, and obviously the hospital visit schedule must be very clear, it must be accessible, and it can take place at times when people can reach and see their relatives, certainly with certain rigors and limitations. We cannot prevent access to hospitals, we have no reason at the moment.

If we manage to really implement a human resources strategy in Romania, which we are working on, and we are working very, very seriously, some people curse us for wanting to work with the World Health Organization. They have the expertise, this is the situation, in this area I think we can have a medium-term program of 5-10 years in which the problem of human resources in Romania will be regulated."
