Engie, one of the big companies in Romania that supplies natural gas and electricity to Romanians, is notifying its customers from all over the country about one of the most important decisions it has made, allowing them to transmit the self-read consumption index directly from the MyENGIE application.

Engie recently announced the launch of a new version of the application that it offers for iPhone and Android phones throughout Romania, and together with it, it also improved the process by which we can send the auto-read index in order not to pay more than we actually consume each month energy supply.

Below is the explanation from Engie Romania about how the auto-read index can be transmitted very quickly by us through the MyENGIE application, and if you do this, you should not pay more than what what you have already transmitted regularly.

Engie Romania explains below what happens if we sent a wrong index through the application, something that can happen at any time, so we know what we have to do to correct this mistake, which could even bring us a the bill is much higher than we should actually pay.

From the MyENGIE application you can send the self-read index for natural gas and electricity, depending on your distributor. To submit the index, follow the steps below. Go to the Index section. If you are in the index transmission period, you will have the active field where you can fill in the self-read index.

For natural gas, you also have the option to scan the meter with your mobile device's camera. Hit the Submit Index button and you're done! Important: If you have entered a wrong index, it can be changed, but only during the transmission period, by pressing the Change button.
