The meteorological warning of severe weather issued by ANM, the National Meteorological Administration, for Romania on February 6, 2023 brings to our immediate attention a new wave of cold with extremely low temperatures until February 10.

ANM talks below about the fact that until February 10, it is possible that the minimum temperatures recorded in various areas throughout Romania will even reach -20 degrees Celsius, the warning targeting the whole country at the moment.

Validity period: February 5 – 10.

Targeted phenomena: cold wave.

During the mentioned interval, the weather will be cold in all regions, with mostly negative maximum temperatures. It will be frosty at night and in the morning in the intra-Carpathian regions, but in smaller areas and in the rest of the territory. The minimum temperatures will mostly be between -14 and -4 degrees, isolated lower to -20...-18 degrees.

The wind will intensify in Moldova, Dobrogea and eastern Muntenia, amplifying the feeling of cold.
