WhatsApp is secretly working on a new method of communication through the messaging application using iPhone and Android phones, and this because a special functionality called Channels has already been secretly integrated into the application, allowing the creation of subscription lists to receive information from specific sources.
WhatsApp wants to create, in practice, a solution through which people, or companies, can address large numbers of people using the messaging platform, and this is because the Channels functionality will allow sending mass messages to people, to these lists being able more people subscribe than the number of people who can enter a certain group.
WhatsApp does not seem to have imposed any limit, for now, on the number of people who can subscribe to an information channel, and this in the conditions where we are talking about media through which almost any kind of information could be sent to the subscribed people , and this seems to show that the platform is interested in providing a space for news distribution.
You can see in the image below what this system looks like, that a channel can be created very easily, including information about the purpose for which the respective group was created, probably also what kind of information will be distributed through it, but everything seems to be thought out of control by the company that owns WhatsApp Messenger now.
WhatsApp Messenger has this major change in full development at the moment, without knowing exactly when it will be launched for users all over the world, so we just have to be patient, to see when exactly everything will be enough well prepared to be offered.
