Volodymyr Zelensky: Announcement Concerning the War Crimes Investigation Tribunal

Volodymyr Zelenski speaks officially about the discussions held with international partners regarding the creation of an international tribunal for the investigation of war crimes, something supported by the European Commission at the present time.

Volodymyr Zelenski also talks below about the aid offered by the US during this day from Washington, with an announcement according to which security aid worth 1.2 billion dollars will be sent during the next period.

"There is more good news from our partners. From what can be said publicly, there is a new defense package from the United States. The total amount is 1 billion 200 million dollars. Artillery, protection against terrorist missiles and drones and other things to strengthen our defenders.

I thank President Biden, Congress—both parties—and every American family for their unwavering support and for the American strength that makes us stronger.

We are also working with other partners on additional defense packages to add new opportunities for our warfighters.

Special thanks to the French parliament for today's decision to recognize the Russian pseudo-private group Wagner as a terrorist organization. This is something that should be adopted by the whole world – every manifestation of terrorism must be destroyed and every terrorist must be condemned.

And of course, today, after the terrorist state once again tried to torture our people and lost once again to our defenders of the skies, I thank our Air Force and all our warriors in other branches of the military who provide air defense.

Glory to all those who defend Ukraine and Ukrainians! We thank all those who, together with us, restore peace and justice to Europe!

He addressed the participants of the coalition summit (Core Group) on the creation of a special tribunal on the crime of aggression against Ukraine.

We have to prove that the aggressor was wrong in everything! Not only in his military calculations, not only in the way he assessed our leadership, state and economic systems. But also in the way he evaluated our attitude towards justice.

Our values are real to us. And we will protect them! And that is why we will do everything possible to bring the main perpetrator of this aggression and all his accomplices to justice for everything they have done - without exception!

Thank you to everyone who is bringing the launch of the special tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine!"
