Lewis Hamilton talks below about the experience he had in the most recent race he participated in, the one in Mexico, where he again climbed the podium, thanks to the modifications made to the car that Mercedes offers him, but to get important victories in Formula 1, he needs even more.
Lewis Hamilton explains below why he is confident that Mercedes can turn him into a champion again, his ability to achieve important victories being limited by the cars the Germans put at his disposal, but that would change in future, as better cars are offered to him.
"Honestly, I did not expect this. It's always a great feeling when you put one foot in front of the other and make progress. The weekend was very difficult compared to the last race where I just hit the ground running. This weekend I dug deep to try and get it set up right and I think I did a great job.
I mean I'm incredibly proud of my team, like I said at the end of the race, I have total confidence in the team. I know we can build a great car. We haven't in the last two years, but we can build a great car. There are a lot of engineers out there, nobody wants to copy anybody.”
