For those who are still at the beginning, there are many unknowns, especially regarding cracked applications, unlocking, etc. In the following tutorial I will teach you how to add sources in Cydia, without which you cannot unlock the phone.
Step 1
Connect to a Wireless or make sure that the Internet will work on the phone. If you don't have a wireless nearby and you need unlock, use this tutorial that will show you how to install ultrasn0w without internet.
Open the application and let it connect, then the application will close and have to be opened again.
Once the application is opened, a message will appear asking how you want the information to be shown in Cydia, choose hacker mode.
You will be asked to do some updates, click on complete upgrade and wait, after it finishes press the Close Cydia (restart) button, the application will close and you will have to reopen it. The restart will only be necessary once or if you install new updates.
Step 2
Once the application has been reopened, you must click on the Manage button in the bottom bar.
Step 3
Click on Sources which will take you to a new menu.
Step 4
In this menu, all the sources from which you can download the applications are displayed. To add a source, click on the Edit button on the top right, then on the Add button on the same bar but on the left.
Step 5
Here you will be asked to enter the url to the server from which you want to download the applications. Enter the url in the box, then press Add Source. Careful! For some sources, such as that of the guys from appulous, a warning message will appear telling you that that source is illegal. If you still want to add it, press the Add anyway button.
After you have finished adding, press the Done button on the top left to finish.
