iPhone 4G/HD disassembled

Before sending the supposed prototype of iPhone 4G/HD back to Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, Gizmodo decided to him disassemble to check if the terminal is really the creation or not Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and this to prove that the said device is not a Chinese fake. It seems that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), left its mark on many of the parts found in this terminal, an additional proof that the phone presented these days is really a prototype iPhone and probably the future iPhone HD which will be released in the summer.

It seems that the phone's battery occupies about 50% of the internal space and is not removable as it was first assumed, to access it you have to go through some screws and fasteners of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),. The main board of the phone is much smaller, practically it represents about 1/3 of the model used on iPhone 3G / 3GS which indicates that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), could have used new technologies to reduce the components of the motherboard in order to introduce more features to the terminal. Unfortunately Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), it protected all the components very well, the motherboard plus other parts each have a metal plate mounted on their surface so they cannot be checked without making them unusable. This reason was the basis of the impossibility of identifying which processor/how much RAM/what capacity this terminal has.

In conclusion, the supposed prototype of iPhone 4G/HD would have the following characteristics:

  • 5 megapixel camera;
  • LED flash built into the camera to take pictures in low light conditions;
  • MicroSIM similar to those used in the iPad;
  • The back part made of a ceramic material;
  • A slightly larger battery, but don't expect an extraordinary increase in autonomy;
  • Front camera for video calls/video conferences;
  • Screen resolution increased, it is not yet known exactly what resolution it will be;
  • 4Ghz A1 processor and 256 MB RAM similar to iPad specifications.

That was about it iPhone 4G/HD, it remains to be seen if everything that has been speculated in the last few days has support in the real world and the future iPhone, which will be presented by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in the summer of this year, it will have at least 50% of all these specifications.
