Tutorial: How to port Voice Control to iPad

From today all owners of iPad can jailbreak tablets using Spirit and with the jailbreak comes the "horde" of applications that can be installed on Jailbroken iPhone OS. In the morning I explained to you how to modify the applications for iPhone so that they work without problems and on iPad, now it's time to explain how you can port Voice Control to the iPad.

Here's how:

  • first of all, you need to install afc2add from Cydia to have access to all the files on the iPhone;
  • then connect the iPad tablet to the PC, open ifunbox and navigate to: /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app;
  • copy the file to the PC K48AP.plist, open it with a text editor:
  • in the area where the "Capabilities" capabilities are defined, add the following text:
  • voice control
  • now copy the file back over the old one and reset the iPad tablet, when it restarts you will be able to use the Voice Control option.

That was about all, I know that there are not too many Romanians who own tablets iPad, but if there are iPad owners among you, please leave a comment.
