AT&T Introduces iPhone Insurance System June 6, iPhone 4G/HD Launch Coming!

Maybe you remember the system of insurance of the phone introduced by Orange last year through which you can insure any phone for 2 euros, with the exception of 3 models, including the iPhone, which can only be insured upon purchase. A system like will also introduce AT&T in the USA, called MobileProtect, but unlike in Romania, there the insurance will cost $13.99 per month and will cover almost the same "accidents" as in the case of the one from Orange, that is: the theft/loss of the phone, its repair if was dropped into the water, its repair if the damage is not covered by the warranty, etc.

Why is this news interesting for us? Well, AT&T will introduce this insurance system on June 6, that is exactly one day before WWDC and the keynote that Steve Jobs will open and at which everyone is waiting to see the new iPhone OS 4.0 and iPhone 4G/HD. A launch of the new service from AT&T a day before the opening of WWDC can only mean that Apple will launch the new terminal very quickly after the announcement at WWDC and may use this new service in the keynote to attract as many potential customers as possible .

AT&T will be launching a new insurance service starting June 6th, named MobileProtect, designed specifically for the Apple iPhone. The insurance plan, which will be run by Asurion, will carry a price tag of $13.99/month and will be available for purchase through Apple's App Store.

It was rumored that Apple is trying to move quickly this year with the launch of the new iPhone 4G/HD, I for one hope it will be so, the world has been waiting for the launch ever since the appearance of the first images from Gizmodo, but it remains to be seen what it will present to us Apple on June 7.
