iDetector tells you which bootrom your phone has

iH8sn0w finally made a program that can tell us exactly which bootrom our phone has. iDetector is called the latest creation of the developer who a few days ago launched sn0wbreeze for iOS 4.0 and through this program you can find out what bootrom your phone has by simply putting the phone in DFU Mode, and you can find a tutorial for that here.

After putting the phone in DFU Mode, open iDetector, which ONLY works in Windows, and press the button "Is my Bootrom Old or New" and the program will tell you which bootrom you have through a message similar to the one below, then to exit from DFU Mode, hold down the Home + Power buttons simultaneously until the apple appears on the screen, then release them.

It is very important to know what bootrom you have because this information will tell you whether or not you can use sn0wbreeze or PwnageTool to jailbreak iOS 4.0 because iPhone 3GS/iPod Touch 2G/3G owners with a new bootrom CANNOT update to iOS 4.0 jailbroken.

Bootrom verification is required ONLY and ONLY on iPhone 3GS/iPod Touch 2G/3G.
