Skyfire accepted in AppStore, we will have flash on iPhone!

Skyfire, the browser that will allow us to view movies in flash format on iDevices, has been accepted in the AppStore and will be available for purchase in the near future. Actually according to those from CNN the application could only be available on Thursday and I find this decision quite strange considering that the application has already been accepted by Apple. Unfortunately, SkyFire will not display flash content from the Internet, but only video clips. Basically, Skyfire takes the flash content on its own servers, converts it into HTML 5 content and sends it back to our terminal to be able to watch it.

The app won't translate games or other non-video content that runs in Flash, however. Still, Glueck estimates that the number of websites and videos that Skyfire will open up to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users is in the "millions."

The Skyfire browser was under review at Apple for more than a month, but history is repeating itself (as in the case of Opera) and the application will be available for purchase starting on Thursday. Unfortunately, the application will not be free but will cost $2.99 or €2.39 because the Skyfire company claims that it has invested approximately 25 million dollars in the development of the technology for this browser and must somehow recover its money.

So, who's waiting for Skyfire?
